New Vet Curriculum – The University of Central Lancashire
The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is opening a new School of Veterinary Medicine this year. At present, they are in a stage of curriculum development (first entry 2023) and would like to gain the opinion of the profession as to what graduates need to learn in order to become, and ideally remain, members of the profession. There is a lot of discussion on this topic, so they’d like to have a more objective view, which can then shape the curriculum.
UCLan are inviting employers of new graduates or those that have experience of working with new graduates within the UK to complete an anonymous online questionnaire, which should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete. The questionnaire is looking to identify where you think there are gaps with new graduates and where improvements can be made in order to optimise veterinary training and to better prepare future vets. The results of which will form part of a wider project looking at developing a novel curriculum delivered at UCLan.
