This is a reminder to ensure that you have read and considered responding to the consultation. Please add typed replies outlining concerns that you may have. The Sheep Vet Society will be replying alongside the BVA and we are urging individual response as well.
I will be attending Ruminant Health and Welfare Group meeting next week where all stakeholders, including the NSA and NFU will be present to discuss this consultation. Fiona Lovatt our Secretary and other committee members will be attending the RHWG Medicined meeting tomorrow to discuss local anaesthesia, analgesics and associated licensing issues in light of this consultation.
Please do take the time to fill in the consultation. I appreciate we are busy, but this may have significant implications for our sheep clients.
This consultation closes on 9 March 2026. Any responses received after this date will not be analysed.
