Congratulations to our 2026 Society Award Recipients

9 October 2026

At our recent conference in Kilkenny, we were delighted to recognise outstanding contributions to sheep health, welfare, and the work of the Society through our awards.

Honorary Membership was awarded to Fiona Lovatt and Rudolf Reichel. This is the highest honour the Society can bestow and is awarded in recognition of lifetime contributions to the Society’s aims of promoting sheep health and welfare.

We were also pleased to present the John Rodger Quaich to Fiona Lovatt. This award recognises an individual who has made a significant achievement benefiting the Society or the sheep industry during the previous year.

Please join us in congratulating Fiona and Rudolf on these well-deserved honours and in thanking them for their exceptional contributions to the sheep industry and the Society.
