AWF’s 2022 student grant scheme is now open for applications

From learning to design and execute a research study from start to finish, to travelling abroad and meeting experts in the field of animal welfare, undertaking a student research project can be really rewarding and beneficial to your studies and future careers.

About the scheme

The AWF student grant scheme gives students with a passion for animal welfare a unique opportunity to develop their skills in the field of research, and an opportunity to present their work at AWF’s prestigious Discussion Forum.

Grants are available for short research projects which must be based on sound scientific principles and designed to have a positive impact on raising animal welfare standards.

Whilst the scheme is primarily open to undergraduates studying veterinary and animal welfare degrees, students from other disciplines (such as agricultural studies, social sciences and zoology) are encouraged to apply if their project is within scope.

The deadline for submissions is midnight on Monday 31 January 2022
