  •  Peter Mertens (Professor of Virology, School of Veterinary Medicine and Science, University of Nottingham) and Christopher Sanders (Research Fellow in Veterinary Entomology from the Pirbright Institute) will talk about the midge lifecycle and how their behaviour allows them to transmit BTV to ruminants, the impact of temperature on BTV transmission and other factors.
  • Rudolf Reichel from APHA will finish up with a short SBV piece.
