Virtual tickets are now available for APHA’s Ruminant Health Day, taking place on Wednesday 12th February at the Elfordleigh Hotel near Plymouth. This will be a hybrid event and if you would like to attend remotely, please use the link below. The day will focus on the disease and health challenges of livestock grazing extensively. We will have speakers covering topics including tick-borne diseases and the Optick Project, APHA’s tick-borne diseases dashboard, animal health projects on Dartmoor and in Scottish Hill flocks, best practice control of sheep scab including collaborative control programmes, rewilding, and the risks of plant toxicity to extensively managed livestock.
This free-to-attend event is open to farmers, vets, and all stakeholders with an interest in extensive livestock farming. There will be opportunity for networking, with a hot lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
