Online Webinar

The first webinar session – How to have more good days at work – is on Weds 29th January 1pm, hosted by BVA Junior Vice President, Rob Williams, and VDS Training’s Carolyne Crowe. The speakers will discuss strategies to support physical and psychological wellbeing at work and explore how to create a safe and inclusive team environment that supports everyone’s needs. Attending the webinar sessions also counts towards veterinary CPD.

Rob Williams said:

“At BVA we are passionate about building a resilient and sustainable veterinary workforce. This webinar series is designed to help your team identify practical steps to improve your veterinary workplace and create a working environment that allows the whole team to thrive. We’ll be diving into the first session with lots of practical tips and strategies and I hope to see many of you there.”

Learning objectives:

  • Understand the key elements that contribute to personal wellbeing at work.
  • Explore methods for creating open communication and inclusivity within teams.
  • Discuss strategies to balance individual and team needs for a healthier workplace culture.

Great workplaces by BVA is an innovative new workplace accreditation scheme designed to help build a thriving veterinary workforce by recognising and rewarding positive workplace culture. It is the latest step in BVA’s support for the profession as it tackles ongoing workforce challenges around recruitment and retention.

The scheme is open to all veterinary professionals, and all workplaces – both clinical and non-clinical. Celebrating excellence, it spotlights workplaces that prioritise staff wellbeing and professional development, and where staff feel valued and empowered.
